The views of Monkey Face are always pretty nice, and we have seen climbers up on the face of that rock as well as along the start of the "Misery Ridge" path which we found challenging the first time ( AND last!!) we tried it.wore the wrong shoes for sure! There have been many who have done the complete loop including the poor gal we met this last time who hadn't known how long the entire loop was, and she was just over 6 hours in when we met her on the trail well into our hike! She still had at least another hour or more to go to get back to the parking lot!! I always dread the hike back up the final hill from the river to the parking lot, but it seemed better this year for some reason! When going on this trail, you must take a LOT of water as it is hot and there don't seem to be stops for water past the start of the trail where there is a fountain.
