Thank you for the feedback and the real world experience you have with the tint. Especially when you start feeling warmth at 78 degrees. PhotoSync is not worth the $1,xxx price tag you pay for in LA. If not, I am removing my tint within a day and putting Crystalline in my M3. In fact, I have made up my mind already to give the tint shop a call and hope they can accommodate me in something. Lesson learned for me as I am growing more and more unhappy with the tint as each day passes. There doesn’t seem to be any hazing or ghosting problems but that is so far it. The only good thing I can say good about PhotoSync is that, the tint looks good inside and out. (3M Crystalline for tint, Suntek Ultra for PPF).

Especially if you know for certain that there is another product that does the same if not better for less of a price. I cannot say their products are bad, I know ClearGard Nano is good, but for me they are not worth the premium price you pay for it. Weather it is tint (Spectra PhotoSync, or less well known Spectra CeraLux) or their PPF (ClearGuard Nano). Prestige, as their name implies, market their products as some (if not) the best in the business. Why is that exactly? Because of the price you pay for PhotoSync. None of what I have researched and done before hand made any sense at this point but I know what I am feeling with real world testing and I am a bit loss for words.

That is about the only thing I have noticed in my testing this week. I also have Crystalline 70 on the Macan S front windshield due family reasons and they are close in real life testing and feel. I will say however, PhotoSync 75 is close if not slightly better than Crystalline 70. I even recently drove to a Subaru dealership w/ a friend who also noticed enough warmth that she called out on it. Of course, I went into my M4 w/ Crystalline and I barely felt any heat at the same location more or less and time. Little things like this bug me very fast. I very rarely put my A/C bar in my cars above 1 bar, so I really have no real interference when it comes to me feeling the warmth but the warmth effect is enough to get me to notice it as I am rather OCD. It was only then I realized what I was feeling with PhotoSync wasn’t a placebo effect on me, that I was indeed feeling warmth coming through at 78 degrees in Los Angeles. I put my M3 with PhotoSync 45 & 75 next to it and went in between after letting both car sit for few minutes. I did a test though and put my M4 (which I still have) with 3M Crystalline 40 all windows, Crystalline 60 front windshield side by side outside of our house to compare. I tried ignoring this as a placebo effect on my part but this feeling continued day after day. I have NEVER had this happen with Crystalline.
#SPECTRA PHOTOSYNC 27 SKIN#
I was feeling warmth on my skin on a day that is barely 75 degrees or more. I noticed pretty quick even on the same day drive home something didn’t feel right. I put PhotoSync 45 on all windows, PhotoSync 75 front. The owner and people there are great people and I bought into what they were saying about PhotoSync… I regret it now a week into having it. There is only one tint shop in LA that does PhotoSync now, I won’t say who they are but you can easily find this place out.

PDF along with other things points to the fact that Spectra PhotoSync being the better tint to 3M Crystalline, which I have had on 2 of my personal cars. I had reservations about this from the get go but I went with it mainly based on my research and not hearing people bad mouth the tint.

I decided, against my better judgement, to go with PhotoSync. When I picked up my 2018 M3 individual, two weeks ago. Especially since I have had 3M Crystalline on my personal cars, I know what to expect and what I had expected PhotoSync to be and what it should be better at. By far, 3M Crystalline sits on top of that list, apparently F1 Stratos comes very close to Crystalline but as I do not have experience I cannot confirm. Considering my location in SoCal, we get various heat and weather here so I have a pretty good general idea of what you can expect from these types of Ceramic Tints. The only one that I have not had experience with is F1 aka Formula 1 Pinnacle and the newer F1 Stratos. Huper Optik, 3M Crystalline, 3M Color Stable, SunTek CXP and Llumar CTX w/ Air 80. So, I have real world experience with most of them. On my personal cars up until this point, I have had almost all of the well-known tints put on the cars in our house hold. Before all of that though I will tell you why. The most likely hood is I will take a pretty big hit on this but for me I'd rather do it and be happy than constantly be irritated. In the past few days my grievance with this tint and grown worse to the point now that I’m going to remove it. A few of my personal friends as well as Justin from AutoTalent has known I have been privately complaining a lot about PhotoSync.
